Weapons & Combat

Lumberjack features a progressive weapon system. You start with a trusty Axe — slow but reliable for chopping trees and fighting off early enemies. As you level up by killing enemies and collecting experience orbs, you unlock faster and more powerful weapons.

The Knife is the fastest melee weapon with a high DPS. Throwing Stars and Stones give you ranged options against hedgehogs and crocodiles that you should never approach up close. The Shotgun unleashes devastating spread damage at close range — one blast clears a wolf pack. The Minigun offers sustained long-range fire but consumes ammo quickly.

Deep in the ice cave you can find the legendary Golden Hammer — a melee weapon of immense power that also shatters the cage bars imprisoning your wife. Use its two charges wisely.

Survival Tips

• Level up before advancing — aim to reach at least level 5 (shotgun unlocked) before completing Episode 1. Higher levels carry over to all subsequent episodes.
• Respect the terrain — lava fields deal constant damage, swamps slow you down, and crocodiles are lightning-fast in water. Staying on dry land is always safer.
• Watch the minimap — colored dots show enemy positions before they are visible on screen. Use it to avoid ambushes.
• Ammo management — ranged weapons have limited ammo. Keep the axe or knife as a backup for when ammo runs out. Never enter a tough fight on an empty magazine.
• Cave compass — in Episode 4, a compass arrow at the bottom of the screen always points to the exit of the current room. Follow it to progress through the labyrinth.
• Super-strike — use the powerful area-of-effect super-strike when surrounded by multiple enemies. It deals ring damage and can save your life in emergencies.
